　　情景對話 1：

　　比爾:

　　Have a seat, Cindy. Would you like some coffee?(=do you want some coffee?)

　　請坐吧.辛蒂.來些咖啡?

　　辛蒂:

　　I`ve just had some, thank you.

　　我剛剛喝過.謝謝.

　　比爾:

　　Right, well, I expect you know what I want to talk to you about.

　　好.那么我想你已經知道我打算和你談些什么了?

　　辛蒂:

　　My letter of resignation, you mean?

　　你是說我的辭職信?

　　比爾:

　　Well, yes. It comes as a bit of a surprise. I thought you were happy here.

　　辛蒂:

　　Yes, I am.

　　辛蒂，你愿意接受真正的.挑戰嗎?長話短說，我們決定增設一個新的崗位。咱們公司發展得很快，因此，需要有人全面負責將貨物運交客戶的工作。無論誰做這項工作，都需要與運輸公司保持聯系，保證票證、單據無誤，而且要盡一切可能保證按期交貨。據說你很擅長這方面的工作。

　　辛蒂:

　　I`ve been doing quite a lot of it, yes.

　　比爾:

　　So, how would you like to be our transport Manager.

　　那么.你愿意擔任公司的運輸經理嗎?

　　情景對話2：

　　杰夫:

　　Mr. White, may I have a word with you?

　　懷特先生.我能跟你談談嗎?

　　懷特先生:

　　Of course, Jeff. What can I do for you?

　　當然可以.你有什么事嗎?

　　杰夫:

　　This is difficult for me, because you and I have worked together for so long. But I`ve found a new position at another company.

　　這對我來說很難開口.畢竟我跟你一起工作了很長時間.但我已經在另一家公司找到了一份新的工作.

　　懷特先生:

　　So, why are you leaving? Is it something I`ve done, or haven`t done? Is there anything wrong here?

　　你為什么要離開呢?是我做錯了什么.或還是有什么事沒有做到?到底是什么問題?

　　杰夫:

　　Mr. White, you have really been great to me, and I am thankful that you`ve taken me under your wing and taught me so much. But I feel I`ve grown professionally as much as I can here, and I need some new challenges.

　　懷特先生.你一直對我很好.我非常感激你對我的幫助.教會我很多東西.但我覺得在這里學到的東西已經到極限了.我需要新的挑戰.

　　懷特先生:

　　I am sorry to hear that. You know our company is newly-built one. Things will go better with development.

　　聽你這么說我感到很遺憾.你知道我們公司剛成立不久.情況會隨著發展好起來的.

　　杰夫:

　　Thank you for your help. But I still want to leave the company to seek development.

　　謝謝你的關照.我還是想離開公司另謀發展.
