　　T: That is good; we finally reached an agreement about all the things. Shall we sign the contract now?

　　T: We cooperate with other countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, and enjoy a good reputation in the international market. And we are long- cooperated friends. I think there is no need to add an arbitration clause in the contract. In case of a dispute, I wish we'd better solve them through amicable consultative way.

　　湯姆：我們都是在平等互利的基礎上與別 國合作的，在世界市場上享有良好 聲譽。并且我們已經是長期合作的 老朋友了。我覺得沒必要在合同中 加上仲裁條款。萬一發生爭執，我 希望我們最好通過友好協商的方式 加以解決。

　　Y: What you said seems reasonable. It is to our mutual benefit to settle disputes through consultation. But also considering our good friendship, I think adding arbitration clause won't have any drawbacks. When no settlements can be reached, the fair arbitration awards can contribute our cooperation in the future.

　　于：你說得似乎有道理。能通過協商解 決對我們雙方都是有好處的。但是 也正是考慮到我們良好的.友誼，我 覺得加上仲裁不會有壞處的。當我 們不能協商解決時，仲裁公正的解 決有助于我們以后的繼續合作。

　　T: That's OK. In case of dispute, we firstly settle it through consultation. If the negotiation fails, we will submit it to the arbitration court.

　　湯姆：那好吧。發生爭執時，我們首先通 過協商解決，如果協商失敗，我們 將提交仲裁法庭解決。

　　Y: I think just exactly the same way. Arbitration is the last resort when there is no alternative. Where shall we set the arbitration body?

　　T: We don't need to decide now. When the dispute arises, we can nominate a temporary arbitration body.

　　湯姆：我們沒必要現在就決定吧。當發生爭執時，我們可以臨時指定一個裁定機構。

　　Y: OK. That is it.

　　于：好的。我們就這樣決定吧。

　　T: We haven't had any arbitration yet, and I hope we never have the chance to implement it in the future.

　　Y: Neither do I.
